Wrap with Love...update

Last week I finished my first square for my Wrap with Love blanket! Only 27 to go!

I started back in early February, if you want to read all about it check out my Wrap with Love post.

I have to admit I am somewhat proud of myself, I actually cast on, knitted and cast off and so far it has actually held together!

At this rate though I am hoping to at least be finished by Christmas - but it is the thought that counts, right?

Thanks to my mum I actually have two squares now as she kindly gave me one that she had prepared earlier! So really 26 to go!

Let the knitting continue....

Wrap with Love

I have found a hobby, well a task of sorts - Wrap with Love. My Mum told me about it when we were chatting about hobbies, she had heard of it on ABC 702.

In 1992 Wrap with Love began to help as many people as possible by providing warm wraps to ward off hypothermia. Over the past 20 years they have sent more than 300,000 wraps to over 75 countries, including Australia.

Wrap with Love is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated with the Department of Fair Trading, NSW Australia. They rely on donations of knitted/crocheted squares or completed wraps or money.

For more information, go to Wrap with Love.

My task is to knit 28 squares, each 10 inch x 10 inch using 4mm needles and 8 ply yarn. When completed, my wrap will be 4 squares across and 7 squares down and then I will send it to the delivery point in Rosebery, NSW.

When completed my wrap should look (hopefully) something like this....
