This weekend has been a stay-at-home weekend for us. I always think a weekend at home will be relaxing and lazy....simply not the case though.
The Great Landscaping Challenge
Yesterday the boys, Hubby, Brother B and Dad, worked on (and finished!) Stage 2 of The Great Landscaping Challenge.
Stage 2 consisted of adding another down pipe at the side of the house to connect to the stormwater. After a full-on work day, which I thought would not end for them, it was connected. (If only it was connected before the Friday downpour turned our dirt backyard into mud, but demz de breaks.) The only snag was Brother B burning out Dad's jackhammer - nice one!
Stage 3 has already been done! Woot, Woot! Clearing away all the damn pebbles.
Today, Hubby started work on Stage 4, digging out the mud and clay for the path. He is such a trooper.
Babies, Babies, Babies
Little Miss 4 has been mostly occupied with her babies. They have been to swimming lessons, the clothes shop, daycare, a party, had more than 500 changes of clothes each and numerous naps. She has also been my little helper - I really couldn't survive without her.

All the other stuff
As for me, yesterday I vacummed, mopped the floors, cleaned the bathroom, did 3 loads of washing, dressed Little Miss 4's dolls, made lunches, blogged, and dressed Little Miss 4's dolls.
Today I have done some online shopping. I am a HUGE online shopper. I very rarely hit the actual shops. I have a small child and visiting the actual shops gives me panic attacks - big ones, especially grocery shopping.
Little Miss 4 and I did some more organising in the babies room. A task that feels like it will take forever and if we are actually ready when Bubs#2 is born it will be a miracle.
I also completed my Magazine and Newspaper Writing Course by submitting my last assignment! Now I need to attempt to put it all into practice - more panic attacks!
Time to relax
Well maybe after bath time, dinner, and the bedtime routine.
How was your weekend?
Sounds like a busy one! And congrats on finishing the course. Yay!
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was flat out working on our new house. Only 15 more sleeps till we move!
That is exciting. We moved in to our place about 6 months ago and have been continuing to work on it. Now I just want grass before Christmas or at least before Bubs#2 is born.
DeleteCongrats on getting so much done! When is bub #2 due?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteBubs #2 is due in Jan. 9 weeks and counting!
