Girls Night In

Hubby was out at some End-of-Financial-Year shindig with work last night. Painting the town red or something or other.

This left us girls...and one little man....at home for the night alone.

I asked our little miss what she would like to do and she screeched, "Have a movie night! Yeah?" (Because at the moment every sentence ends with "Yeah" and some serious nodding of her head.)

Her first choice was to go to the cinema to see Despicable Me 2, however, our little man is six months old and probably a bit young to enjoy the cinema just yet. After talking her down after the tears that ensued because all her friends had apparently seen it, she moved onto her second choice.

Her second choice was to watch the new Cinderella, which is Cinderella III A Twist in Time that Hubby bought her for graduating to the next swimming class.

I headed off to the shops to grab the essentials; popcorn and a BIG bag of M&Ms.

After putting little man to bed, we snuggled on the lounge under the Dora blanket and enjoyed watching Cinderella and her prince live happily ever after. The lucky princess.

Our little miss was so excited to be staying up late watching a movie, eating popcorn and M&Ms with me while Hubby was out. It made my heart melt watching her get everything set up while she talked about us having a girly night together. I love to spend this time with her, simply snuggling together at home. It really is the little things that make life great.

Do you have movie nights at home? Do you love M&Ms?

P.S How cute is the yellow M&M, he is my favourite. Do you have a favourite?

  1. Home movie nights are my favourite! We did take the little ones (2 & 4) to the cinema for the first time last week - it was very exciting. I also LOVE M&M's, but never seem to buy them. They are on the shopping list now! :-) Cheers, Alison p.s. your little girls pink glasses are HOT!
